I remember the years working at St Maryâ??s with John and Rosie. Fond memories for me. Sad that heâ??s gone now. Please take care and know you are loved, Rosie.
My condolences to you Colin and your family. Your Dad was a big part of my life. I remember going out on lake Decatur in your dads boat. He would pull us on that rough sled and I would go home soo sore. He would always take time to teach me boating safety. He also let me drive the boat. I thought that was soo cool. I remember running home and telling my parents that I drove a boat. He never missed a opportunity to teach me something. I use a lot of that knowledge still today. He will be truly missed. Tom Lynch
As a longtime pal to his oldest son Colin, many times John was around during our young adulthood. Always cordial and good for witty commentary. Some of his musings has the feel of an esoteric proverb or facet of an ancient tale. Appropriate for the old sailor he is. He will be missed by all who knew him.
My condolences to the family on the loss of John. He seemed like an amazing person to know.-Vicki Brindise Cummings, MU '97
Lit a candle in memory of John Gary Brady
I remember riding in Uncle John's boat as a little girl. He did always love the water and we had fun too. It takes a brave man to serve our country and especially one to serve on a sub under the arctic ice. He was that. He will be missed. We are thinking of all of you and have been through this and his difficult time of health.
