John Henry Clark's Obituary
John Henry Clark, 77, of Decatur, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St, Mary’s Hospital.
John was born December 19, 1930, in Suffolk, VA, the son of John Henry and Grace Audrey David Clark, Sr. A U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, John worked as a chef in Peoria.
He is survived by his children: John Clark, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Milton Sharron Clark and Jana Clark of Tuscon, AZ, Mark Clark of Phoenix, AZ, and Lillian Willie Randle of Decatur; siblings: Barbara Shuler of Yuma, AZ, Roylee Clark of Franklin, VA, Betty Jean Green of N.C., Joan Wilson of Hampton, VA, and Clifton Gwaltney of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren: Seclestine Taylor, Genece Taylor, Akea Taylor, Sydney Clark, Sara Clark, Derrion Coleman and DaMarcus Taylor; great grandchildren: Elijah Weekley and Alicia Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends .
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Ellen.
Farewell and Tribute service: 10:30 am Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are directed to the John Henry Clark Memorial Fund in c/o Land of Lincoln Credit Union.
