Dear Davern family, So sorry to hear about your loss.I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Mattoon, IL US
I knew John for only a short time, as he came to the weekly rosary as long as he could..I had taken him communion to his room even once after he return from the hospital. His participation was a blessing, and the last time he received Eucharist, he truly relaxed and seemed to be in a place of comfort. God bless you all in your mourning, but praise to our God for taking John home! Decatur, IL US
Joanne and Family : our prayers are with you and the family today . i knew John from the 1600 N. Edward St days , St Teresa HS and the past 20 years as a client – Always appreciated his Wabash stories and put up with his ranting about how great the Cardinals were every year . he was a great guy, soft-spoken, and a loving father ……….i know the past months were not easy to endure for you and the children, but his suffering is over now . Peace to everyone in the Davern family. Sorry we could not attend the wake or funeral. i will call sometime in the next few days . A special hello to gail and Pat from me decatur, IL US
