John D. Snyder's Obituary
John D. Snyder, 66, formerly of Decatur and a resident of Lincoln, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004 in Maple Ridge Care Centre, Lincoln surrounded by his family.
Graveside services celebrating his life will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004 in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home where the family has requested casual attire.
John was born on March 13, 1938 in Towanda, the son of Charles D. and Kathryn B. Snyder. John was affiliated with Mound Chapel Church of God and a past member of the Moose Lodge in Lincoln. He was loved by so many and touched many hearts throughout his life. He was met in Heaven by his father, mother, sister and brother.
John is survived by brothers: Stanley Norma Snyder; Charles Mary Snyder; Robert Delores Snyder; Donald Helen Snyder and Sterling Linda Snyder; sisters: Audrey David Tuttle; Betty Bill Mills; Dorma Raymond Whitacre and Sharon Sims; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff at Maple Ridge Care Centre who lovingly and patiently cared for our brother. Memorials may be made in John's honor to the Hospice volunteers at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
