Johnny L. Fisher, 66, of Decatur, died on Tues. Sept. 14, 2004 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
Mass of the Resurrection celebrating his life will be 8 p.m. Fri. Sept. 17, 2004 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Fr. Rick Weltin and Monsignor Kevin Vann celebrating. Johnny was born on October 13, 1937 in Decatur, the son of Leon J. and Charlotte L. Utterback Fisher. He was employed at Illinois Power where he worked as an Inspector before retiring in December of 1995. Johnny was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Very Reverend Jeremiah J. Murphy Assembly #0211 and Knights of Columbus Council #577. He married Martha "Teeney" Jordan on Feb. 10, 1962 in Decatur.
Surviving is his wife, Teeney of Decatur; daughters: Christine M. husband, Tom Grove of Kansas City, KS; Cathy A. husband, Don Rayhill of Rochester; Toni L. Fisher of Decatur; grandchildren: Skyler J. Fisher, Casey Rayhill, Jacob Grove, A.J. Fisher, Jordan Rayhill, Benjamin Grove, Bridgett Rayhill, Matthew Grove; cousins: Jerry Fisher, Paul Scott Fisher and Betty Fisher; five nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mariella Fisher and one nephew.
