Joseph Fox's Obituary
Joseph "Joe" Fox 69 of Decatur entered in his next life at 4:50 pm Wednesday July 7, 2004 in his home surrounded by family and friends.
Home going services will be 11 am Tuesday July 13, 2004 in Church of the Living God Temple #4, where Overseer E. F. Gray, Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday July 12, 2004 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, and one hour before services in the Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Joe was born to the Union of Dink and Erma Hills Fox in Jackson, Alabama on July 4, 1935, he was a laborer working out of Construction Local 159. He was a member of Church of the Living God, Temple # 4. He married Freddie Durley in Decatur on June 17, 1977 she survives.
Joe leaves not to mourn but to cherish fond memories, his loving children, sons; Karis Foster, Sr of Atlanta, Ga., Jesse Williams and wife Dortha of Mobile, Al; his daughters, Patricia Foster of Aestes, Ga. And Jacqueline Woods and husband Christopher of Mapleton, Ga. His brothers include, Walter and Willis Fox both of Decatur, LT Fox of Mobile, Al, his two sisters include Elnora Flynn of Decatur and Earsell Fox of Jackson, Al. Grandchildren include Marquis Lowery, Adrian Lowery, J.C. Lowery, LaShavian, Dominique, Jeston, Paul, Damien, Shaunteria, Tamika Foster, Dalia Foster, Karis Foster, Jr, Lakeisha Foster, Corey Smith, Tommy Foster, Tremaine McCroy, Tiffany McCroy, Patricia Ann Gipson, Terry Ferris, Lashonda Winston, Joe Gipson and Bernadine Foster. A special grandson Mark Campbell aka Dough – Dough Head and Special friend Ted Whitelon. Twenty Two great grandchildren also survive. Also surviving includes a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
