Joseph A. Lowe,'s Obituary
Decatur – Joseph A. Lowe Sr., 81, of Decatur passed away on December 20, 2016 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Joe was born on December 19, 1935 in Vincennes, IN the son of Joe B. and Selma (Davis) Lowe. He married Linda McCarty on April 1, 1956 in Vincennes, Indiana and celebrated 60 years of joy and love together. He was a loving husband and father of six children. He was the dad everyone wished they had. He bought Sentinel Pest Control in 1976 and made many friends along the way. Joe had a smile for everyone and always willing to lend a hand.
Surviving are his wife Linda; sons, Joseph A. Lowe Jr. of Seminole, FL; David B. Lowe of Decatur; daughters, Brenda K. Schuessler (John) and Becky S. Weaver (Mark) all of Decatur; sister-in-law, Donna McCarty of Decatur; and grandchildren, Andy Schuessler, John Schuessler, and Nicole Weaver all of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Debra Black and Donna Lowe sisters, Lillie Oxby and Nellie Groves.
Funeral service to Celebrate Joe’s life will be 1 PM Friday, December 23, 2016 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12-1 PM Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association.
