Joseph S. Sprague's Obituary
Joseph S. Sprague, 62, of Elwin, passed away July 15, 2003 at home surrounded by his family.
Services will be 11 A.M. on Friday, July 18, 2003 in J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery. Memorials to: Cancer Care Specialists of Decatur or Donor’s Choice.
Mr. Sprague was born March 24, 1941 the son of Clifford “Skip” Sprague and Violet Bissonett Sprague. He was a former barber in Decatur and Macon and retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation. He married Peggy Bafford on April 09, 1961.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife; daughter, Jodi Lynn Sprague VanFleet and husband Danny; Grandson, Dalton Joseph VanFleet; Mother, Violet Sprague; Brother, Steven Sprague; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
The family of Joe Sprague would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Velasco for his professionalism and compassion and to the many nurses at the Cancer Care Institute. These special nurses are truly angels on earth.
Joe was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His true passion in life was his family, especially his grandson Dalton. He treasured his family as they treasured him. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father Clifford “Skip” Sprague and beloved son Brian Sprague.
