Josephine Carlier's Obituary
Josephine Carlier, 100, of Decatur, died Sunday, November 16, 2008, in Imboden Creek Living Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, November 20, 2008, in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Grant as celebrant. Visitation will be 5:00 ' 7:00 pm Wednesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with a Vigil Prayer Service at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ss. James and Patrick Catholic Church.
Josephine was born on February 3, 1908, in Ohio, the daughter of John B. and Anna Huber Stephen. She married Eugene A. Carlier in St. Patrick Church in 1931, in Fayetteville, Ohio. She was a member of Ss. James and Patrick Church, St. Elizabeth Society, a former volunteer for Catholic Charities Clothing Room, and a former Girl Scout leader.
Surviving is her son, Eugene N. Carlier Noelle of Wadell, AZ; daughters, Dorothy Furstenberg Peter of Greenwood Village, CO; and Helen Sebok William of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Grace Stoultz and Zita Johnson; one brother, John Stephens; and two grandsons.
