Joyce Ann Logue's Obituary
Joyce Ann Logue, 85, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away October 13, 2024.
Joyce was born in Decatur on April 25, 1939, the daughter of Joe and Mary (Putnam) Logue. She worked as a dietary aide at Americana Nursing Home in Decatur. She was a member of St. Thomas Parish in her younger years. She was a second mom to Jason and Angela, and she was Marilyn’s best friend. She was an avid follower of politics and enjoyed watching the various races on TV. She liked sports, especially talking with her dad about basketball and football. Joyce loved going to theaters, plays, and movies. She was a passionate Elvis Presley fan and once traveled by bus with her mother to see him in concert. She enjoyed eating out and spending time with her family. She was a compassionate, tender-hearted soul who was moved with pity when she heard or read about others in trouble. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.
Joyce is survived by her sisters Marilyn Mears and Emily Grinestaff, both of Decatur. She will be remembered as a great aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe, and sister Jane.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 11am on Friday, October 18, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.moranandgoebel.com.
