Judith Ann Jacobs' Obituary
Judith Ann Jacobs, 73, of Decatur passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in her home.
Judith was born on September 15, 1940 in Decatur the daughter of Paul and Ruth (Nichols) Boland. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and country western dancing. She married Richard Jacobs on January 3, 1959 in Decatur.
Surviving are her husband, son, Kenny Jacobs of Bloomington; daughter, Diana Leischner (Vern) of Monticello; brothers, Dick Boland of Decatur; Stan Boland (Carol) of Decatur; Charlie Boland (Nancy) of Southern Illinois; grandchildren, Curtis Leischner, Lauren Jacobs, Joshua Jacobs, Justin Jacobs, Aaron Jacobs, and Sarah Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, David Boland.
Judy was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Monday, October 7, 2013 in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Molloy as Celebrant. Visitation will be 3:30 – 5:30 Sunday in Moran & Goebel Funeral home with a Vigil Prayer Service at 3 PM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
