Judy Colvin Burdick's Obituary
Judy Colvin Burdick, 68, departed life peacefully, on 12/26/2024, in the comfort of her home, which she lovingly referred to as “Burdick Ranch.”
Judith Lee Colvin was born on October 8, 1956, to her parents, Fred and Betty Colvin. A lifelong resident of Decatur, she lived within 4 miles of her childhood home, for her entire life (except during her college years). She attended Mound Junior High and Stephen Decatur High School, then graduated from Illinois State University, with a B.S. in Business. She started her career at Caterpillar, working in Information Technology, and retired in 2008 after 30 years of service. She married her loving husband, Richard Burdick, in 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother, Fred, and her late husband, Jim Manners.
She is survived by her husband, Rich (aka Rico), her sister, Cheryl Herigodt (Rich), of O’Fallon, MO, brother, David Colvin (Debbie), of Brentwood, TN, beloved sister-in-law, Cecilia, of Redmond, OR, and many nieces and nephews, who honor her memory.
Judy was a vibrant and driving force in life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday (01-03-2025) at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service time. The burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery following the funeral service.
