Judy M. Milo's Obituary
Julia “Judy” M. Milo, 95, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Aperion Care.
Judy was born February 8, 1920, in Sullivan, IL, the daughter of Arlin F. and Julia E. (Glasco) Mendenall. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and a member of Loyal Order Moose #36 in Decatur. Judy worked as a secretary for A.E. Staley for seventeen years, later retiring, and continuing her career in real-estate. Judy enjoyed reading books, traveling, and most of all, spending time with family. Judy married George Milo on January 1, 1939, and they shared 59 wonderful years together. George preceded her in death on May 14, 1998.
Judy leaves behind her brother, Jack (Gloria) Mendenall of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Brian (Judi) Milo of Rockford, IL., Aaron Milo of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren, Tyler Michael Milo, Kora Vonn Milo, daughter-in-law, Linda (Vic) Correnti of Rockford, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, one son, parents, three sisters, and three brothers.
Services to celebrate Judy’s life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, IL following funeral services. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association.
