Julie A Bouey, 63, of Decatur, IL passed away December 8, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Julie was born June 27, 1959 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Byrd R. and Glenda L. (Munshower) Dews.
Julie had worked as a CNA in the healthcare field for many years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, creating photo albums and spending time with her family.
Surviving her children, Nathaniel Wm. Hayes Sr (Marcy) of Decatur, IL, Elijah Wm. Hayes of Decatur, IL, Joshua Wm. Hayes of Decatur, IL; brothers, Brian Dews (Gay) of Texas, Michael Schrock (Pat) of Florida, Will Watts (Charlotte) of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Debra Sanderson (Ray) of Champaign, IL, Cindy Cortel of Champaign, IL, Tina McKnight of Tuscola, IL; grandchildren Zahki, Noah, Jackson, Zendaya Hayes, Kashana, Isaiah, Jeremiah Hayes, Nathaniel Hayes Jr, Allanna Hayes, Madison Desiree Boone and honorary sons, Gary Paige of Tucson, AZ, Donell Hillard of Decatur, IL, Anthony Carrillo of Tucson, AZ; niece, Christy Hardy and her significant other, Presse Mathews Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nicholas Bouey, Jr; brother, Byrd R. Schrock and her dog, Princess.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM Saturday December 17, 2022 at Community Temple of Church of God in Christ, 759 S Jackson St, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 – noon, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the church.
Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.
