Julie Ann Morris' Obituary
Julie Ann Morris, 71, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 12:24 A.M. on Monday (04- 08-2024) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Julie was born on September 22, 1952, in Sommerville, TN, the daughter of Julius Jones and Georgia Lee (Smith) Jones.
Julie was a member of Solid Rock Full Gospel Church where she was also an Assistant Pastor. She was a bus driver, a nurse's aide and owner of Julie's Stop and Shop.
She is survived by her fiancé George Wilder of Decatur, IL; children: Curtis Jones, Teresa Perry, Tyrone Perry, Monica Beasley, Bradley Broadnax, and Leonquis Morris, all of Decatur, IL; 8 sisters: Edna Heard of Whiteville, TN, Easter Beasley of Decatur, IL, Sally Rhodes and husband Melvin of Sommerville, TN, Pearlie Davis of Indianapolis, IN, Edna Crews and husband Alvin of Memphis, TN, Gloria Jones of Decatur, IL, Joanna Jones of Brownsville, TN, and Ora Perry of Crawfordsville, AK; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special friend, Mother Artist Vinson.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Wendy Perry, four brothers:
Ollie Jones, George Jones, Charlie Jones, an infant brother, and two sisters Lucy
Taylor and Shirley Brewton.
A Homegoing service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday (04-20-2024) at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until service time. A Graveside service will follow at Graceland Cemetery Decatur, IL.
