Karen Lynne Worthen's Obituary
Karen Lynne Worthen, 68, passed away on April 21, 2023, in Decatur, IL.
Karen was born to Everett and Loretta Wilson on June 16, 1954, in Monette, AR. When Karen was a child, she enjoyed skating and swimming with her siblings. Later on, she became a licensed practical nurse. Caring for others was Karen’s passion. From her patients to her children and grandchildren, she was always up front and center, ready to give love and support to those who needed it.
Some of Karen’s favorite activities included painting, coloring and going to concerts. Her favorite artists included Elton John, Stevey Nicks, Billie Joel and the Rolling stones. She also enjoyed collecting antiques, jewelry and playing games like Yahtzee.
Karen is survived by her children, Shawn Durbin, Stephanie Rovillos; siblings, Larry Wilson and Teresa (Ricky) King; grandchildren, Brittany (Barry) Weatherford, Zachery Durbin, Lillie (Johnathan Edge) Deaton, Natalie Deaton; great grandchildren, Lakyn, Maya, Westyn; nieces and nephews, Ricky (Michelle) King, Catrina King, Chad King, and many extended family and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home.
