Katherine Jackson-Brown's Obituary
Katherine Jackson-Brown, 69, of Decatur was reunited with the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Katherine (Kat) was born January 13, 1944 to the union of Athur and Voliet (Sanlin) Williams. She was retired from Archer Daniels Midland and a member of Christ Tabernacle Church. Katherine (Kat) was a soft spoken loving kind of person who really loved books. Katherine (Kat) will truly be missed. She loved to read the Bible and talk about the Lord. Katherine (Kat) also would sing Gospel solo songs. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm #27 (The Lord is my strength of life).
Katherine (Kat) leaves to cherish her legacy her sons Danny Ray, Ronda Williams, and Corey Blake Jackson of Decatur; brothers Harvey, Geneal, Williams of Decatur, Charles Williams of St. Louis, MO; sisters Viola Williams of Ann Arbor, MI, Sheryl Munetsi of Ypsilanti, MI, Linda Kay Williams of Chicago; grandchildren Corey Jackson, Cheyanne Jackson, Jalen Jackson, Danny Ray Williams II, Danielle Williams, all of Decatur. Spiritual son Larry Farmer of Decatur, and Eddie Lawerence of Bloomington, IL, Kelvin Lawerence of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Tony, two sisters Ann West and Alma Jean, three brothers Arthur, Stephen, and Edward Williams.
Homegoing Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 15, 2013 at Christ Tabernacle, 401 West Prairie, Decatur, Illinois. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at McKinley Court and Dr. Patel for their care and dedication to Katherine Jackson-Brown. Special thanks to Ronda Williams and grandchildren Danny and Danille Williams, and Cheyanne, Corey, and Jalen Jackson for the many days and years that they took care of their grandmother Katherine.
