Katherine L. "Mrs. Kitty" Taylor, 66 departed this life to be with her Lord on August 16, 2003 in her home.
Home going Services for Mrs. Kitty will be 11 a.m. Wednesday August 20, 2003 in the Shyan Community Outreach Center with the Rev. DeLloyd Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday August 19, 2003 in the Moran and Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Service and Ã?½ hour prior to services at church. Mrs. Kitty was born June 30, 1937 in Goulds, Arkansas the daughter of Richard and Mary Foster King. She was of the Baptist faith. She married James A. Taylor in 1954; he preceded her in death in 1969. She was a homemaker raising her loving children.
Katherine leaves not to mourn but to cherish her fond memories; daughters, Diane L. Tyson and husband Larry of Decatur, Gina S. Manson and husband Stanley of Decatur, Mary R. Taylor also of Decatur; sons, Michael K. Taylor and finance Lisa Reed; Anthony D. Taylor and wife Janet; Rona ire T. Taylor and Finance Lisa Springfield all of Decatur; 25 children; 25 great grandchildren; brothers, Otis King and Robert L. King both of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Ruby Robinson and Evelyn Sander of Decatur; 10 sister -in- laws; 5 brother in laws; special friends, Leroy and Elizabeth Hennings of Decatur, Neighborhood buddies - Grandma Jackie; A.C. Green and Edward Garrett.
Our mother was loved by many people; she will be missed but not forgotten. Jesus called her home and she was well prepared and ready to go.
Mrs. Kitty was also preceded in death by her parents, son James L. Taylor, brother Gene A. King, sister Saphonya King, father-in-law and mother-in-law T. B and Cora Taylor, 2 brother-in-laws; 1 great grand daughter and 1 grandson.
