Kathleen Alnory's Obituary
Kathleen Alnory, 59, passed away on June 15, 2024, at her home in Springfield, IL, after a long bout with chronic illness. She was born on January 10, 1965, in St. Louis, MO, and spent much of her life as a proud resident of Boston, MA.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. Fileccia, and survived by her mother, Patricia Stoutamyer; sister, Heather LaJoie; children, Paul Deane and Michelle Graham; grandchild, Aubrey Dworsack; and partner, Timothy Mahoney, who took loving care of her during her final days.
Kathy had an incredible sense of humor and a beautiful laugh. Her wit was razor-sharp. Her outrageous facial expressions and silly sayings never failed to make her entire family laugh. Kathy could be fiercely stubborn and private, yet was also endlessly kind, generous, and compassionate. She loved her family deeply, quirks and all, worrying, rooting, protecting, resenting, forgiving—but always loving.
When Kathy's granddaughter Aubrey came into her life, it marked a new chapter. Aubrey became her world, her sidekick, and her best friend, whom she helped raise from birth. They were two peas in a pod, 'partners in crime,' sharing knowing smiles and inside jokes.
Kathy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our hearts are shattered by this loss. She was truly one of a kind, and being loved by her was a blessing.
