Kathleen Marie Eckles, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in Springfield, IL. Born on May 19, 1954, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of William and Helen (Curtis) Woodruff.
Kathleen married her beloved husband of 28 years, Jim Eckles, on June 5, 1998. Kathleen was a firecracker; she was a cherished mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Kathleen loved to paint, watch live music, and attend festivals with her husband and family.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Jim Eckles; daughters, Sherri (Nick) Tucker and Heidi Kramer; grandchildren: Jordan (Trent) Wittenauer, Olivia Tucker, and London Kramer; and great-granddaughter, Maeve Wittenauer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Woodruff; and brothers, Billy Woodruff and Tommy Gilbert.
