Kathy Ann Kadlec's Obituary
Kathy Ann Dawson Kadlec, age 50, of Decatur, previously of Oreana and Acworth, Georgia, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at McKinley Court Care Centre, surrounded by her family.
A memorial visitation will be held at her loving church, Trinity Fellowship Community, 1300 W. Clinton Ave., Farmer City, on Friday, April 3, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery, with Military Honors.
Kathy was born August 7, 1958 to Lyle and Shirley Dawson of Oreana. She graduated from the Argenta-Oreana class of 1976. She then joined the United States Army. Kathy enjoyed working with the Linus Blanket Projects. She was a member of the American Legion Post #55 in Farmer City. She worked for the Credit Bureau of Decatur and transferred to Acworth, GA in 1994 to total 10 years. She then worked for the Pope Automotive Group for nine years. She returned to Illinois to be closer to her family. She was a strong person and fought the battle for over seven years, even until the end. Kathy enjoyed working with wood and making crafts. Her biggest enjoyment though, was the time she spent with her grandson, Bradly. She also enjoyed cookouts and family get-togethers. The children in her life brought out her smiles and strength in her long battle.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley Dawson, of Oreana; her daughter, Natasha Kadlec, of Acworth, GA; son Lloyd Kadlec wife, Cynthia, of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Bradly, of Acworth, GA; Paige, of San Diego, CA; sisters, Shelia Paschal husband, Tom, of Woodstock, GA; Hilda Crystal husband, Tony, of Warrensburg; brothers, Scott Dawson wife, Kate, of Clinton, UT; Frank Dawson wife, Teri, of Oreana; Lee Dawson wife, Angela, of Boody; seven nephews; four nieces; nine great-nephews; and three great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Dawson; special uncle, Charles Simpson; all her grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
The family of Kathy Ann Kadlec is being served by Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2801 N. Monroe St., Decatur, IL.
