Kenneth Lewis Hedrick's Obituary
Kenneth Lewis Hedrick, 93, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 5:30 A.M. on Saturday (07-06-2024) in Imboden Creek Senior Living and Rehab.
Kenneth was born on June 13, 1931, in Springfield, IL, the son of August George Hedrick and Nora Mae (Colburn) Hedrick. He married Phyllis Jean Pryde on September 11, 1954, in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death on April 7, 2004.
Kenneth served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Forsyth, IL. Kenneth also loved to go fishing and camping, do woodworking and making crafts, and especially spend time with his family.
He is survived by his children: Cheryl Ann Camp and husband Jeff of Decatur, IL, Judy Kay Burrow and husband Mark of Altamont, IL, and John August Hedrick and wife Lisa of Decatur, IL; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one granddaughter Mary Beth Camp, four brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday (07-11-2024) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Forsyth, IL, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. A visitation will also be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday (07-10-2024) at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Following the funeral service the burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL, with military rites.
