Kenneth Michael Woolsey's Obituary
Kenneth Michael Woolsey, 66, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 with family and friends at his bedside.
He was born April 18, 1945 in Pleasant Plains, WV, the son of Kenneth B. and Malvena McDaniel Woolsey. On March 4, 1967 he married Dana Fitzgerald in Decatur. Ken was a graduate of Lakeview High School and was employed by Superior Welding and later retired from Kopetz Manufacturing in 2000. He was an avid basketball fan, loved being outdoors, hunting and landscaping. He was very involved in his grandchildren’s lives and always went above and beyond for all.
Ken’s dream was to see his grandchildren reach their highest goals and dreams in life. He was a very caring and giving man and had a heart of gold. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Woolsey of Decatur; daughter, Kendra Toppie Warnsley of Decatur; his special grandchildren: Dominique, Cameron, McKenzi, Wynter and Stefan Warnsley; brother, Dan Connie Woolsey and sister, Carolyn York; special friends: John & Butch Houser and family; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
There will be a Private Family Memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for his grandchildren’s college fund.
