Kurt William Davis, 46, of Champaign formerly of Decatur died Wednesday April 22, 2009.
Funeral Liturgy will be 1:00 pm Saturday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Deacon Kevin Richardson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Kurt was born on June 17, 1962 in Decatur, IL the son of William R. Davis and Frances Larus. He was working for ACH Food Companies in Champaign. He had worked for many years at Steak-n-Shake in Decatur and he also worked for Mueller Company in Decatur. He loved Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. He liked to go Bowling. He married Angela Miller-Wood on July 10, 1993 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife Angela; son, Larry Davis of Champaign; daughter Natasia Shaffer-Davis of Champaign; daughter-niece, Krishna Shaffer-Davis of Champaign; mother, Frances Garecht of Champaign; father, William Davis Patricia of Decatur; brother, Stacey M. Garecht of Sarasota, FL; step-brother, Ralph Griffith Tina of Decatur; sisters, Regina Davis of Decatur; Resa Benz-Spiker Dave of Decatur; Mary Griffith of Decatur; Stacey Stine Bubby of Mt. Zion; uncles, Charles L. Davis of Decatur; Donald D. Davis Sandra of Decatur several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his dog, Daisy May.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Michael Davis, one uncle, Stanley Larus, and his mother-in-law, Janet Miller.
