Lance Tobias Joseph Simon, 38, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Sunday (05-21-2023) in Indiana Health University Hospital Indianapolis, IN.
Lance was born on April 25, 1985, in Chicago, IL, the son of Roxie Ann Simon and Eddie Maney.
Lance loved to watch everything on tv and loved to travel and planning places to travel to. He was very caring, loving, humble, and giving. Lance loved his nieces and nephews very much.
He is survived by his Mother Roxie Simon of Decatur, IL; Father Eddie Maney of Springfield, IL; Companion Mary Coulter and her daughter MI'Kayla Stinson; Brothers: Anthony Simon (triplet) of Decatur, IL, Lamar Simon of Chicago, IL, Deandre Simon of Peoria, IL, and Marshon Simon of Decatur, IL; one Stepsister Love Rowell of Tennessee; Maternal Grandmother Lucille Simon; Cousin Rennoria Hammock of Decatur, IL; Aunts: Lucy (Richard) Young Jennings of Murfreesboro, TN, Monica Young of Washington, DC, Wanda Brown and Denise Simon of Chicago, IL, Angela Grant (triplet), Gloria (Mike) Simon Hammock of Decatur, IL, Angela Jones, Eunice Hopkins, and Gloria Williams; one uncle Anthony Simon; cousin: Greta May of Muncie, IN.; nieces: Chrishonna Woodland and Amoni Kirk. Also, a host of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lance is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather Willie Simon; paternal grandmother: Estella Nelson Simon and Beatrice Simon; stepdad John Rowell; one Aunt Andrea Hood and one Uncle Javis Ward.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday (06-02-2023) at Greenwood Cemetery Decatur, IL.
