Larry "Moses" Franklin White's Obituary
Decatur-Larry “Moses” Franklin White, 68, of Decatur, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones at 9:05 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Moses was born March 3, 1949 in Avon, Illinois, the son of Charles L. and Ruthie B. White. Larry held several jobs in the construction and mechanical fields. He married Margaret Reed and they later separated. He enjoyed calling Decatur home to be near his many friends. His smile and laughter would light up room.
Moses had a passion for vintage automobiles and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He looked forward to summer vacations with friends and enjoyed traveling. Watching cowboy movies was a favorite pastime! Larry enjoyed Sunday worship at the Salvation Army and most recently at Grace United Methodist Church.
Larry is survived by his siblings Jerry Smith, Terry White, Randy White, Timothy White, Ruthann Thomason, Bonnie Snyder, and Kathy White, two brothers in Christ Aaron McNutt and Jeff Mueller, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Danny White, and infant son Larry White Jr.

Services to celebrate Moses’ life will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Oasis Day Center or the Salvation Army.
