Decatur- Larry L. McGlade, 79, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Larry was born on August 26,1934 in Decatur, IL the son of Chester and Velma McGlade (Leibongood). He worked as a heavy equipment operator in steel fabrication for many years . He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Pool Players Association. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, classic cars, and was an avid Cubs fan .
Surviving are his sons, Larry (Lori) McGlade of Jacksonville, TX, Robert (Mary) McGlade of Decatur, IL, Russell McGlade of Decatur, IL, Steve (Mary) McGlade of Bethany, IL, Tommy L. McCabe of Olney, IL; daughters, Micky (Richard) Massey of Decatur, IL, Cindy (Greg) Cottrell of Bethany, IL, Karen (Jack) Decker of Newton, IL, sister Janice Blake of Santa Ana, CA; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary McGlade, sister Delores Fancher, two grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
No public services are scheduled to take place at this time.
