Larry Saulsbury's Obituary
Larry Saulsbury, 64, of Decatur, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Larry was born May 30, 1949 in Illiopolis, IL, the son of Elmer and Mable (Clayton) Saulsbury. He was a welder who loved fishing, playing with his grandkids, and spending time with Duke who was his dog and his best friend.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Nancy Carpenter of Rushville, IL; wife, Lorenda Saulsbury of Rogers, AR; special friend, Diane Ekiss; stepson, Joshua Carpenter of Baytown, TX; stepdaughter, Mary Horwedel of Rogers, AR; brother, James Saulsbury of Springfield, IL; sisters, Sarah Moore of Springfield; Mary Reich of Springfield; brother-in-law, Harry Bullock of Illiopolis, IL; grandchildren, Norissa Frank: Lilly Frank; Ryan Large; step-grandchildren, Lulu Horwedel, Dylan Carpenter; great-grandson, Jesse Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Don, Jerry, Elmer and Owen Saulsbury, and sister, Lucille.
Services to celebrate Larry’s life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home.
