Laura Bond 56 of Decatur went to be with the Lord at 3:55 am Monday July 12, 2004 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Homegoing services will be 11 am Saturday July 17, 2004 in Great Northside Baptist Church, with Rev. J.D. Waddell officiating, visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday July 16, 2004 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, and hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Laura was born out of the union of Charlie T. and Levirtha Reed Bond on February 09, 1948 in Brownsville, TN. She accepted and lived for God at a young age, while she was a young teenager and young woman she was a member of the Choir at Northside Baptist Church. As an adult she worked for Lincoln Developmental Center in Lincoln for over 20 years. She was a graduate of Eisenhower High School in Decatur.
She leaves behind to cherish fond memories her brother, Charlie T. Bond, Sr of Decatur; her sisters, Evelyn Millege of Saginaw, Michigan, Fanny Bond and husband Eddie of Decatur, Gebratha Perry and husband Walter of Decatur, Mazetta Maxwell and husband Emmett of Milwaukee, WI, Guster Latson of Decatur. A host of nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
