Lawrence A. ”Larry” Nolte, 78 of Decatur entered into eternal rest on Tuesday November 05, 2002 in Decatur.
Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 A.M. Friday November 08, 2002 in St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. in J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home, vigil prayer service at 4:30 P.M. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials to: St. James Building Fund or Donor’s Choice.
Larry was born in Decatur on May 28, 1924 a son of Charles L. and Minnie Brinkoetter Nolte. Larry was employed as a union plumber with T.A. Brinkoetter Plumbing and Heating for 37 plus years. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #65 where he had recently received his 50 year pin. He was also a lifetime member of St. James Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister, life member of the Knights of Colombus Council #577, and a past Boy Scout Leader for troop #18. Larry proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. He married Mary E. Hebenstreit on May 3, 1952 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife of Decatur; sons: Richard A. Nolte Marsha of Decatur; David A. Nolte Annette of Decatur; daughter, Jane A. Arn Tim of Decatur; sister, Bonita Sperry of Decatur; mother in law, Rose Hebenstreit of Decatur; grandchildren: Tony Hamilton, Christopher and Nicholas Nolte, and Bobby Arn; special niece, Janet Waite of Decatur; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His parents; sister, Rita M. Smith; and grandson, John Hamilton preceded him in death.
The family would like to thank all of the Doctor’s and Nurse’s that cared for Larry during his illnesses.
