Lee Allen Schultz's Obituary
Decatur – Lee Allen Schultz, 81, of Blue Mound, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Lee was born October 13, 1937 in Decatur, the son of Ralph Ericke and Nellie Mae (Gebhart) Schultz. A successful entrepreneur twice over, retired Marine and cancer survivor, his life was an American dream come true. Lee never did anything halfway, from owning and operating Lee’s Aquarium and Pet Products, collecting tractors to woodworking…. when he decided to do something, he did it with everything he had. Lee married Mary Jo Mayberry on February 5, 1955 in San Diego, CA, and together they shared 63 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo of Blue Mound; children: Mary Vollmer, Rita (David) Sova, Mark Schultz, and Barbara (Mark) Solberg; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ralph Eugene Schultz.
Private service and family burial with military rites will take place in Arthur Cemetery.
