Lena M. Hirstein's Obituary
Lena M. Hirstein, 89 of Decatur Formerly of Macon died Tuesday January 13, 2004 in Manor Care Nursing Home.
Services will be 11:00 am Friday January 16, 2004 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Brown officiating. Visitation will be 5-7:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home. Lena was born on June 26, 1914 in Oakley, IL the daughter of Jacob and Ada Cook Wagner. She was a retired Cook from Macon Grade School. She was also a former den mother for the boy scouts. She married Albert Hirstein on March 24, 1939 in Oakley, IL he preceded her in death on June 27, 1977.
Surviving are her sons, Roger Hirstein Del of Riverfalls, WI; Richard Hirstein Joyce of Murphysboro, TN; Dennis Hirstein Karen Claspille of St. Louis, MO; Warner Hirstein Paula of Decatur, IL; Everett Chester Bradford of Decatur, IL; and Dale E. Bradford Marlene of Decatur, IL; step-sons, Wallace Hirstein Edna of Springfield, IL; John Hirstein Lois of Springfield, IL; 32 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Wanda J. Brown, one stepson, Kenneth Hirstein, two stepdaughters, Marge Voiles and Evelyn Edgecombe, two brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
