Lena Marjorie Schimanski's Obituary
Lena Marjorie Schimanski, age 85, of Decatur, fell asleep in the Lord's arms, at 3:55 pm, March 16, 2006 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services celebrating Marjorie's Life will be 10:30 am Monday, March 20, 2006 in St. John's Lutheran Church. There will be a visitation a half-hour before service at the church there will also be a visitation in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home from 3-5:00 pm Sunday March 19, 2006. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Schimanski was born, on December 12, 1920 the daughter of Lizzie and William Karloski. She worked at the Avon and Rogers Theaters, the Kite Factory, and at Houdaille and Hershey, during World War II. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Marjorie married her "Prince Charming" Emil Schimanski, on June 20, 1942.
Surviving are her adoring daughter, Gloria Schalk, and husband, Ed of Decatur, one grandson, Todd, the sunshine of her life, and his angelic fiancÃ?©e, Amy Mehaffie, both of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She also has two brothers, Orville Karloski, and Elvin Klaska both of Decatur. There are also numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, George, and one sister Dorothy Roe.
