Lenora M. Mintun's Obituary
Decatur – Lenora M. Mintun, 80, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
Lenora was born April 19, 1939 in Decatur, the daughter of Herschel R. and Carolyn (Ritchie) Smith and Jesse and Irene Voyles. A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lenora worked in communications at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She drove a bus for St. Paul’s Church, volunteered for Race For The Cure, was a member of women of the Moose–Decatur, Fraternal Order of Eagles Patron, Decatur Arts Council Knit Night, devoted animal rescuer and former manager of Life Uniform.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents: Herschel, Carolyn, Jesse and Irene and husband, John “Jack” Mintun.
Survivors include her sons: Jesse (Kathy) Mintun of Decatur and Gary (Terri) Mintun of Normal; daughter, Laurie (Stan) Mrozinski of WI; grandchildren: Jon, Michael and Marc Mrozinski, Joel & Joshua Nottingham, Jason & John Mintun and Jeremy & Joseph Mintun; great grandchildren: Emma, Yaseen and Evelyn; sister, Sherlene (Michael) Hoffman of OH; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services to celebrate her life will be 2 pm Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will begin at noon. Burial will take place at Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
