Leo H. Morland's Obituary
Leo H. Morland, 81, of Decatur died at 8:06 am Monday May 30, 2005 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Thursday June 2, 2005 in Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Father James O’Shea celebrating. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Leo was born in Hoopeston the son of William Harvey and Lenora Carothers Morlan. He was an United States Army Veteran of World War II. He worked as a painter in the area for many years and retired from U. S. Industrial Chemical Company in Tuscola, with more than 25 years service. . He was a member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He married Betty Ruth Kerr on December 6, 1942. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2005.
Surviving are his sons, William C. Morland and wife Sally of Lafayette, IN; Leo H. Morland Jr. and wife Sandra of Forsyth; daughter, Ruth E. Wrigley and husband Michael of Riverton, brother Lawrence Morland of South Beloit , IL.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
