Leoda Belle Ewing's Obituary
Mrs. Leoda Belle Ewing age 81 of Decatur went to be with the Lord at 12:59 am January 09, 2004 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Home Going Services will be 1 pm Friday January 16, 2004, in the Christ Tabernacle Church with Elder Clifford Ewing officiating. Visitation will be Thursday Evening from 6-8 pm in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and one hour before services at Christ Tabernacle Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Leoda was born in Lafayette, Indiana on February 25, 1922 the daughter of Joe and Laura Harris. She was a member of Christ Tabernacle Church of 10 years, then later was a member of Apostolic Ministry of Discipleship for five years. She worked as a dietary aid for the Lafayette Hospital for many years. She married Clifford Ewing in 1941, he preceded her in death in 1965. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left behind to cherish fond memories of her include, her son; Clifford Ewing and Pastor Dora, daughters; Charlotte Ford, Cherry Mabon and husband Pastor James and Chatton Jones all of Decatur, Mary Jo Clark of Lafayette, Indiana, her sister; Mary Louise Wallace of Louisville, Kentucky, her sisters in laws; Jean Harris, Diane Ewing, Ora Lee Ewing all from Indiana, Nelly Harris of Tennessee, 13 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews and friends.
