Leon H. Langhauser's Obituary
Decatur – Leon H. Langhauser, 81, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019.
Leon was born December 28, 1937 in Beckemeyer, IL, the son of Leo and Gertrude (Kampwerth) Langhauser. Leon worked as an Engineer for ADM for 40 plus years before retiring as V.P. of Corn Processing. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Golden K and Knights of Columbus. Leon married Gigi M. Kapp on December 28, 1963 in Collinsville, IL.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Mark and Dwight.
Survivors include his wife Gigi of Decatur; sons: Steve (Beth) Langhauser of Eldridge, IA, and Marc (Angie) Langhauser of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Nathan, Cara and Drew; siblings: Barb (R. Joe) Richter and Ralph (Ruth Ann) Langhauser of Breese, IL, and Joseph (Sylvia) Langhauser of Germantown, IL.
Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be 1 pm Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. A light reception for reminiscing will follow the mass. The family requests no flowers. Rather, they would prefer donations be made in Leon’s honor to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
