Leonard E. Rehfelt's Obituary
Leonard Eugene Rehfelt, 67, of Decatur passed away at 11:55 pm on Wednesday January 27, 2010 in his home.
Leonard was born on December 6, 1942 in Decatur the son of Ralph and Betty Blakenship Rehfelt. He worked as a carpet installer for over 35 years. He also worked for Borg Warner and Mueller Company. The last 9 years he worked as a Wal-Mart people greeter. He married Zella Mae Sampson on February 14, 1964 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Zella Mae; sister, Betty Lou Poling James of Silver Springs, FL; brother, John H. Rehfelt Carol of Tampa, FL; mother-in-law, Dill Sampson of Decatur; sisters-in-law, Shirley Neeley Ed of Decatur; Carolyn Neeley Gene of Moweaqua; Jo Huston Bill of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews.
Thank you goes to Dr. Heim, Dr. Wade, and St. John’s Hospice especially Lynn Berner.
His smile is gone forever and his hand we can not touch still we have so many memories of the one we loved so much.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery will be at a later date.
