Lester Rufus' Obituary
Lester Rufus 88 of Decatur died Thursday June 26, 2008 in Lincoln Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be 12 noon Tuesday July 1, 2008 in Camp Butler National Cemetery with Pastor Mike Pritts officiating and military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
Mr. Rufus was born on August 4, 1919 in Hillsboro the son of Raymond and Bessie McClaine Rufus. He retired from Traylors Furniture Store in Hillsboro. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Surviving are his son, David Rufus Jodi of Decatur; daughter, Judy Rufus Richard Snyder Sr.; brothers, Raymond Rufus Jr. of Taylor Springs; Walter Rufus of Hillsboro; granddaughter, Natalie Josh; and great-grandson, Zeth.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
He will be greatly missed, our loving dad, grandpa, and papa.
