Lillian Louise Landon's Obituary
Lillian Louise Landon, 82, of Decatur, passed away into the arms of the Lord, on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA.
Lillian was born on April 30, 1934 in Jermyn, PA, the daughter of Ralph Henry Harvey and Helen Gertrude (Coons). She was a homemaker, worked at Carson Pirie Scott for several years, and belonged to a walking club. She walked in all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico. She also enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching, crocheting, and playing Bunco. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and sang in the choir for many years.
She married Raymond Landon Jr. on April 16, 1952 in Johnson City, NY, and they celebrated 64 years together.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond; daughters, Barbara Entrot (Timothy) and Linda Wiesner (Larry); son, Raymond Landon III (Connie); eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Harvey (Lucille).
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leonard and Duane Harvey; and a grandson, Robert Entrot.
The family will host a memorial service celebrating her life, officiated jointly by Rev. Dr. John Kay and Rev. Dr. Miley Palmer, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 2, 2016 in First Presbyterian Church, Decatur. Visitation with family will be one hour preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the First Presbyterian Church, or to donor’s choice.
