Linda Dianne Huckile's Obituary
Linda Dianne Huckile, 39, of Decatur, went to be with her best friend, Jesus, Tuesday April 15, 2008 at Decatur Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family and close friends. Linda fought for 7 years a courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was born May 31, 1968 in Decatur, the daughter of Francis “Lee” and Sharon LeCates. She was a loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister who loved the Lord and always had a smile on her face even in the bad times. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She filled our lives with love and hope. She taught us courage and that every moment of everyday is a special gift from God. She was a high school graduate of Mt. Zion High School. She married Larry Huckile, Jr. in August 2001.
Surviving and greatly missing Linda are her husband, Larry; daughter, Christina; son, James; her parents; sister, Megan LeCates and nephew Robert all of Decatur; brother, Terry LeCates and companion, Bonnie Maxey of Springfield; grandparents, Dale and Louis Eckel of Decatur; mother-in-law, Kathy Richardson of Decatur, father-in-law, Larry Huckile, Sr. of Iowa, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Linda was preceded in death are her grandparents: Courtland and Elizabeth LeCates and George and Rose Goulart.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday April 18, 2008 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, Decatur with visitation 5 to 7 PM Thursday, April 17. Burial will be at Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Memorial gifts are suggested to the family or Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois.
The family would like to thank Dr. Estrada-Garcia and Cancer Care nursing staff, especially nurse Cyndee, and DMH ICU staff for all their loving care and support.
