Linda Kay Norman's Obituary
Blue Mound, IL
Linda Kay Norman, 70, passed away February 10, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born to Denver Wayne and Norma Jean Carter January 7, 1947. She married Kenneth Eugene Norman June 3, 1967. He survives her.
Also surviving are her children: sons Arthur (Michelle) Norman of Macon, Martin (Marsha) Norman of Decatur, daughters: Shonnie (Michael) Durbin of Decatur, Linda Norman of Macon, Angela Harris of Blue Mound, and step-son, Kenneth (Debbie) Norman of Mt. Zion. Linda had 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Gary (Virginia) Carter of Decatur, David Carter of Decatur, and Steven Carter of St. Louis, MO and one sister, Carol “Susie” Counts of Leadwood, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda worked at McDonalds as a manager and Walmart. She and her husband also owned and operated the Lincoln Square Café and Mom and Pops. She loved spending her time and money at Foulk’s Auction Blue Mound, IL #9. She also liked to play bingo. She had many friends that soon became family. There wasn’t a single person she didn’t love always with a smile on her face. She had an enormous extended family.
A celebration of life will be from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 with a memorial service immediately following at the Blue Mound United Methodist Church, 113 S. College St., Blue Mound, IL.
Memorials may be made at the donor’s choice.
