Lisa was and in my heart still is my best friend. I was with her until the end and find comfort in the fact she is truly at peace now. Lisa would have done anything to help others and even though she was ill she dropped everything several times in my times of need. She was an amazing person and one of those people that will always live on. While planning her benefit with her she was so determined and did alot we had so much fun in this past year even when she was getting 11 hours of chemo she and I had a fun day we talked, laughed, and shopped in catalogs. She was strong til the end and was more worried about everyone else than herself and that was truly Lisa's way. Mt. Zion, IL US

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I had the priviledge of rekindling our friendship several years ago. The thing I loved most about Lisa was the way she could tell you the way it is with conviction in her voice and a smile on her face. Lisa lit up a room with her warm heart and bright smile. Lisa was a wonerful friend and an awesome mother. Alaina meant the world to her. I love you and miss you girl!!!! Mt. Zion, IL US

I met Lisa years ago through the Mt. Zion Fire Dept. where several of her family members were firefighters. Lisa was always hanging around and I got to know her very well. Lisa always had a smile on her face and a laugh to share. Lisa brightened every room she entered with that great smile. I will miss Lisa dearly and am thankful for her friendship. Decatur, IL US
I was a teacher of Lisa's in Mt. Zion. I had her during her middle school years. She always had a smile on her face and was always so very friendly. She always made a point of speaking whenever I would see her. Not all students go out of their way as Lisa did to speak to their "old" teachers.I saw the interview with Lisa on television when she discussed her illness. How tragic for a family so young. But-I am sure that with a smile Lisa has told you to go on with your lives and give a great life to your child.I just wanted to say I am so sorry and I have been thinking of you and praying for all you at this time.VICKI OSMAN Bethany, IL US

I am so sorry for the family's loss. Lisa was so strong and brave; her smile persisted throughout even the most troubling of times. Her attitude during this struggle was amazing. May God bless and comfort the family during this difficult time. Lisa will not be forgotten. Nashville, TN US
