Lisa Ellen Dodson's Obituary
Lisa Ellen Dodson, 58, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday evening, March 21, 2018, at St. John’s Hosptial in Springfield, surrounded by her loving family.
Lisa was born March 19, 1960, in Decatur, to Robert Olen and Loretta June (Todd) Jestis. She married James “Tony” Dodson on August 23, 2006 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Lisa was an amazing woman who will be remembered as the most selfless person. She never met a stranger and was kind to everyone she came across. Lisa had steadfast faith and love in God. She enjoyed being home with her baby boy, Sarge, but most of all she loved spending time with friends and family, especially her best buddy, “Nate the Great”.
She is survived by her husband, Tony; her two children, Megan (Alan Dralle) Fiebig of El Paso, IL and Jim “Big Jim” (Heather) Dodson of Decatur, IL; her grandson, Nathan “Nate the Great” Fiebig; her sister, Sandra (Morris) Earl of Sun City, FL; her three brothers, Michael (Karen) Jestis of Snowflake, AZ, Richard (Billie) Jestis of Elizabethtown, KY and Steven (Sharon) Jestis of Oreana, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, David, Gerry and Sonny Jestis.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lisa Dodson will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials in honor of her beloved nephew, may be directed to “In Memory of Mitchell Lane Dodson, Let your Light Shine Scholarship” at State Bank of Cerro Gordo 101 S Madison St, Cerro Gordo, IL 61818.
