Lisa Kay McCoy's Obituary
Lisa Kay McCoy, 58, of Decatur, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family.
Lisa was born December 7, 1960, in Decatur, Illinois to Danny and Beverly “Joy” (Hutchcraft) Scott. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for Evergreen Assisted Living. She loved reading, spending time at “Green Acres”, caring for animals and others, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Diana (Cory Crum) McPeek and Jenniffer McCoy both of Decatur; three grandchildren, Nykolas McPeek, Casey Middleton and Joseph Crum; her mother, Beverly “Joy” Scott of Decatur; two brothers, Michael (Sarah Ford) Dyer and Danny (Rebecca) Scott, Jr. both of Decatur; her sister, Julie Yets of Urbana, IL; special friends, Cliff Miller and David Thomas, Sr.; and her rescue fur babies, Bella, Roxie, Hannah, Momo and Oaklee.
She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Scott, Sr.; her son, Joseph Allen Puckett and two brothers, Robert and David Dyer.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lisa McCoy will be 1 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Humane Society of Decatur & Macon County 3373 North Woodford Street, Decatur, IL 62526.
