Lois J. Bledsaw's Obituary
Lois J. Bledsaw, 71, of Bolingbrook, formerly of Decatur, died Monday, December 20, 2010 in Bolingbrook.
Lois was born November 30, 1939, in Murphysboro, the daughter of Gilbert and Helen Russell Foll. A homemaker and member of the “Lois” Club and Seventh Day Adventist Church, she married Jack W. Bledsaw on October 1, 1959. Lois was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 51 years. They had a special love and closeness that was evident by all who knew them.
Lois loved her family and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved nothing more than spending the day at the park with her grandchildren. She also loved gardening and working outside in her yard. Lois was an excellent cook and baker and she enjoyed making delicious meals for her family. She loved God with all her heart and enjoyed studying the Bible. Lois looked forward to meeting her family in heaven and raising her first born son who died as a newborn. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband Lois is survived by her children: Laura Eric Wood of Decatur, Lana Ulises Gonzalez of Bolingbrook, Daniel Colleen Bledsaw of NC, and Lisa Tony Nelson of Bolingbrook; grandchildren: Seth & Sam Wood, Alyssa & Zena Gonzalez, Brandon Bledsaw, Kaitlin & Jackson Nelson; brother, William Foll of MI; sister, Helen Slighton of AZ; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; son, Jack William Bledsaw, Jr.; four brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Macon County Memorial Park. There will be no visitation.
