Lois Marie Holderly's Obituary
Lois Marie Holderly, 71, of Girard, died Wednesday after a long battle with cancer, August 5, 2009 in Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Lois was born December 6, 1937, in Springfield, the daughter of Castle R. and Jessie L. Siders Schleyhahn. An avid bowler and Registered Nurse for many years, Lois was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Moose and Grace Nazarene Church in Salem, IL. She married James Robert Holderly March 30, 1972.
Surviving is her husband, James of Girard; daughters, Carolyn husband, Lenny Goebel of Springfield, Catherine M. Payton of Salem and Cindy L. Southard of Davenport, IA; step-sons: Shannon Holderly of Oklahoma City, OK and Shane Holderly of Rogers, AR; brother, David Schleyhahn of Springfield and sister, Gayle Nowak of Glenarm; 24 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; daughters: Charlene “Sherri” Starr and Patricia Southard; brothers: Robert and Merlin Schleyhahn and granddaughter, Jessie Starr.
Graveside service: 3 pm, Friday, August 7, 2009 in Bell Cemetery, Iuka, IL. Memorials: Animal Protection League and/or American Cancer Society.
The family of Lois Marie Holderly is being served by the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur.
