Loretta Hodges' Obituary
Loretta Hodges age 49 of Decatur, went to be with the Lord at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday November 5, 2003 in the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago after an extended illness.
Family and Church Friends will celebrate here life at 11 am Wednesday November 12 in the Jasper Street Church of Christ, Brother Mayo Towles will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 -7 pm Tuesday in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and an hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Loretta was born March 17, 1954 in Decatur, the daughter of Aaron and Minnie Blue Hodges. She worked for District #61 School System as a Teacher's Aide. She was a member of the Jasper Street Church of Christ. She was former president Southside Improvement Association. She was a graduate of Richland Community College and attended the University of Illinois. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, gardening and reading.
Those left behind to cherish fond memories include, sons; Kendrick Manns of Denver, Colorado, Robert Manns of Decatur, daughters; Latoya Manns of Chicago, Robbie McGee of Decatur, brother; Aaron Hodges and wife Mary of Decatur, Alfonso Hodges of Decatur, Freddie Hodges of Decatur; Sisters, Doris Graham, Ollie Slaw, Kathy Hodges, Pamela Graham and husband Rafael - all of Decatur, Wilma Hodges of Milwaukee, Min.; grandchildren; Kenya Manns of Detroit, MI, Sidney Ray of Decatur, Ian Nix of Chicago, Jada Williams of Decatur, Emia Manns of Arlington, TX , Barrick Manns of Decatur,; Host of Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded by both her parents, one grandson Aaron Manns.
