Lorie it's still hard to believe that you're gone. Each time I look at the medical bag or the keys you brought in for the AED locked case at work our hearts ache. RIP! Brenda

Words aren’t enough. Took me months to do this. The sadness is deep.
You were the light in the room Lorie. Not just the room… you were ALL the lights, in ALL the rooms, in all the world THAT YOU EVER WALKED INTO. You left a little light with everyone who knew you. Not everyone does that Lorie. You did.
You lit up the darkness and were full of such pure joy. You knew exactly what to say. You always had a piece of advice, encouragement, and wisdom. We miss you so very much.. and I know you are with us each day.
Tough as nails, yet joyful and kind. You rooted for the underdog. We will keep your legacy alive.

I recall meeting Bill and Lorie at Sam's around Christmas time. They were both excited about meeting the biological father of one of their sons and their grandchild from same. I remember both being very pumped about having a large "blended" holiday dinner. I knew both since they came to Decatur in the early 00's. Bill had taken a job as a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist because DMH had just started an open heart program. He left AAD around 2018 and went to work at HSHS Saint John's. I sure he continued to work with the same level of diligence as he did with AAD. Lorie had a wonderful group dinner for us just as they opened their new home. A sad way to end for two lovely people.
I will never forget Lorie’s graciousness and kindness. She always used to send a Christmas card with a family pic every year. You will be missed. With Love, Jim Wright
Nurse Frame-
I will miss our conversations and laughs. Thanks for the memories. I appreciate that we could always be real with each other while sharing advice and stories. You will forever be my "favorite nurse".
There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains. You will be always be alive deep in our hearts.
Love,
Kimmy & Amy Taylor
