Lottie B. Taylor 85 of Decatur went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 9, 2005 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Homegoing services will be 12:00 pm Friday September 16, 2005 in Greater Northside Missionary Baptist Church With Rev. Jimmy Waddell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor was born on April 9, 1920 in Brownsville, TN the daughter of Ed and Rose Ann Manns Russell. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She became an active member of Greater Northside Missionary Baptist Church in 1969. She was united in Holy matrimony to Dixie Taylor in December of 1937 in Brownsville, TN and from this union they had fifteen children. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1999.
She leaves not to mourn but cherish fond memories her children, Mildred Irons and husband Johnell of Louisville, KY; Jonny Taylor of Twinsburg, OH; Dickson Taylor and wife Catherine of Decatur; Glen Taylor and wife Olivia of Decatur; Versie Campbell of Decatur; Jerry W. Taylor of Decatur; Martha Jane Taylor of Decatur; Jessie James Taylor of Decatur; Mary Ann Damper and husband Carl of Chicago, IL; Sixty-four grandchildren, Eighty-two great grandchildren, three, great-great-grandchildren, several, sisters-in-law, several, brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her, parents, husband, three sons, three daughters, one sister, three brothers, and two grandsons.
